Rainy Goodness

Today is a rainy day here in NYC! I woke up at 6am to a torrential down pour praying that water didn't come into my home, 'cause it's been known to and my landlord doesn't know what to do to permanently fix it. So needless to say I tossed and turned and finally couldn't take it any more after an hour. I was awake and there was nothing I could do about it. I thought that at least I would be up if water began to sneak in and I'd be able to catch it before disaster struck. Fortunately that didn't happen.

So what has been happening? Why knitting of course! First I got to show ya'll the new sock I am knitting up. They are Leaves of Grass Anklet Socks, but of course I don't do anklets unless they are my running socks, so I modified the pattern. I'll give the specific mods when all is said and done. For now, here is where sock number 1 stands. I started it last week and haven't worked on it since Wicked came into my life.

Here is what Wicked is looking like now...

Not too shabby for three and half days. I just joined my last skein of yarn. I still have to finished the bottom edge and then do the cuff's on the sleeves. After trying on Wicked earlier today, I decided not to add the pocket. This yarn is doing it's own thing and is busy enough. I don't need to add another eye buzzing thing to the front pooch area!

  5. I've been knida out of the loop lately, so if you've previously posted the yarn info I'm sorry. What yarn are you using for these socks? Love this colorway! I'm thinking you did post it before & I mentioned how it would match the shawl you gave me.
