Does the yarn look familiar? It should. It's the same Classic Elite Provence yarn that I used for the Provence Throw that I finished in December. I think I had about 8 skeins still sitting in my stash. So when I found out on Saturday that a daughter of a friend of mine recently had a baby boy (first grandson of the family), I thought knitting a baby blanket in this yarn was going to be perfect (plus I am stash busting).

I'm not sure how long I am going to make it. The pattern says knit until desired length. I think I'll shoot for 40", but we'll see what happens. I am almost at the end of my third skein of yarn and it's not long enough yet for my liking. I am getting roughly two rows of hearts, including the 8 rows of garter stitch in between, per skein. I'll see where it stands at the end of the fourth skein.
sew a bag, whip out a blanket- did you prepare a 5 course meal for 100 guests too? You have been crazy productive!
ReplyDeleteBlanket is lovely & I know it'll be sooo soft next to babies skin.
ReplyDeleteNice baby blanket...when I first saw the picture I thought you had already completed the blanket. Wow u are a superfast knitting and and sewing machine these days...huh
ReplyDeleteHow do you knit so freakin fast? And then there is the bag! Some of my non-blogger friends were talking about your blog and how you were whipping out the projects, and you run, and you're beautiful. They were amazed with a tinge of envy. That is one lucky baby to be getting that lovely blankie.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is going to be a great baby blanket. Go, stash busting!
